Ceramic proppant has many excellent perfances, such as, low density、high strength、frost-resistant、high conductivity, etc, especially its low density、various holes、symmetrical composition and shape, high strength and hardness, thus ceramic proppant is light weight, corrosion-resistant, frost-resistant, quake-proof.

According to these relevant perfances, ceramic proppant can be widely used in building material, gardening, foods and beverage, fire-proof and heat preservation material, chemical industry, etc. Except for these fields, it is expanding. Ceramic proppant’s initial usage was mainly used in building material. But as the modern technology and research develop, its usage expands to oil&gas industry. Ceramic proppant is a kind of ceramic bead made of bauxite and other additives which is used in fracturing process of gas and oil wells.

It can increase the output (30%-50%) and extend the service life of oil & gas wells. In the fracturing process, the ceramic proppant is mixed with a highly viscous fluid to f slurry. Then the slurry is pumped into stratum at a very high pressure which can crush rock to create fracture. After flowback, ceramic proppant is left in the stratum through which oil and gas reserves can flow more easily, thus increasing production rate and service life.

Ceramic proppant has different colors: dark red, red ocher, black grey, off-white, cinerous, etc.
